Introduction
Tracey Morgan is an American professional actor and stand-up comedian with an estimated net worth of $70 Million.
His early life was not easy, and it was a series of personal tragedies that led Morgan to begin his comedic career. His comedy career has spanned many years, and despite a car accident that almost took his life, he is still performing.
Before Wealth & Fame
When Tracy Morgan was just six years old, his father left the household, and his mother raised him single-handedly. However, he did re-establish a connection with his father when he dropped out of high school four credits short of graduation to care for his dying father, who passed away in November 1987.
After dropping out of school, Morgan did what he could to make money for his family. Along with getting welfare, he also sold drugs, but found that he made the most money from performing comedy on the streets. He was motivated by a friend, who was later murdered, to pursue a comedy career. Tracy moved to the Bronx and started performing stand-up.
TV & Comedy Career
Tracy Morgan made his acting debut on the TV sitcom Martin with Martin Lawrence as Hustle Man, a character who sells items from the “hood.”
Morgan was a regular cast member on Uptown Comedy Club, a sketch-comedy show filmed in Harlem from 1992 to 1994. He then joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 1996, and he was chosen over Stephan Colbert by Lorne Michaels. Morgan was a regular on SNL until 2003, but he returned to host in 2009 and 2015, and also appeared as a guest when Jimmy Fallon was hosting.
In 2003, Tracy Morgan landed his own sitcom, The Tracy Morgan Show, though it was canceled after only one season. The same year, he appeared in the Chris Rock film Head of State, as a man watching TV and wondering why Martin isn’t on.
Making Everyone Laugh
Tracy Morgan appeared on an episode of Punk’d in 2003, in which his car was towed from valet parking. In 2007, he hosted the first Spike Guys’ Choice Awards and voiced Spoonie Luv on the Comedy Central show Crank Yankers.
From 2006 to 2013, Tracy Morgan was a cast member on the TV series 30 Rock, playing a caricature of himself known as Tracy Jordan. His work on the show was well-received, and he was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy at the 2009 Emmy Awards.
Morgan released his autobiography, I Am the New Black, in October 2009. The book includes stories about living in the Tompkins Projects. He also appeared on National Public Radio’s Fresh Air and gave an emotional talk about his life growing up in New York’s ghetto.
In 2011, he provided the voice for Luiz, a bulldog, in the animated film Rio, alongside Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg, who played macaws.
Recent Projects
From 2012 to 2022, Tracy Morgan starred in many comedy films, including Rio 2, Fist Fight, Scoob!, and Eddie Murphy’s Coming 2 America.
In July 2019, he hosted the ESPYs in Los Angeles and appeared on the TV shows The Twilight Zone, Green Eggs and Ham, and Bubble Guppies. Tracy became the first Black recipient of the New York Friars Club Entertainment Icon Award at the club’s spring gala in 2022. The same year, he appeared in the Christmas musical comedy Spirited, alongside Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds, who were the leads.
In 2023, he appeared as the Easter Bunny in the TV show The Santa Clauses, in the episode “Chapter Nine: No Magic at the Dinner Table.”
Walmart Lawsuit
In 2014, Morgan sustained severe injuries in a car crash on the New Jersey Turnpike, a major highway connecting New Jersey to New York, when a Walmart truck collided with his limousine van. The crash tragically resulted in the death of Morgan’s friend, James McNair, and left Morgan with a traumatic brain injury, broken ribs, and a broken leg. Walmart accepted responsibility for the incident in 2015 and settled with Morgan and other victims. While the exact settlement amount was never disclosed, some reports speculated it might have been as high as $90 million.
However, Morgan’s settlement encountered challenges in 2015 when Walmart’s insurers, Ohio Casualty and Liberty Insurance Underwriters, contested the payout, claiming that Walmart had overcompensated the victims. Despite these disputes, Morgan’s legal team successfully defended the settlement, with his attorney emphasizing Walmart’s accountability and Morgan’s extensive injuries.
Following the settlement, Morgan was able to focus on his recovery, which he later described as a miracle. He returned to performing, incorporating his near-death experience into his stand-up comedy, live sets, and Netflix special, Staying Alive.
This lawsuit and its resolution underscored both the financial stakes and the emotional toll of the crash while highlighting Walmart’s role in addressing the tragedy.
Estimated Net Worth
Tracy Morgan’s net worth is estimated to be $70 Million.
Real Estate
In March 2011, Tracy Morgan paid $2.2 million for a 4,439-square-foot, six-bedroom, six-bathroom home in Cresskill, New Jersey. This property, along with Morgan himself, was featured on an episode of the show Tanked, showcasing Tracy’s new 2,700-gallon, Jaws-themed shark tank. According to reports, the tank cost him $400,000 alone, almost 20% of the home’s value.
In May 2018, Morgan relisted the property for sale with an asking price of $2.25 million. After receiving no takers, the price was reduced to $2 million, then to $1.85 million, then to $1.7 million, and finally to $1.6 million. In March 2019, it sold for just $1.2 million, representing a loss of $1 million before considering his property taxes and agent commissions.

Introduction
Amy Schumer is an American professional stand-up comedian and actress with an estimated net worth of $45 Million.
In the late 2010s, Amy Schumer was raking in money from every single direction, holding at least half a dozen significant income streams. This included projects such as her Netflix special, film salaries, book advances, live show performances, and endorsement deals. As a result, her net worth exploded during this time.
This profile details our research into the factors that have affected Amy Schumer’s wealth significantly throughout her career, covering her earnings history, income sources, assets, and highest-grossing films.
Quick Facts
- Earned a combined $65.5 million over three years (2016, 2017, 2019)
- Received an $8 million book advance in 2015
- Secured a $13 million deal with Netflix for The Leather Special
- Grossed almost $1 billion at the global box office
- Earns approximately $500,000 per live show
Earnings History
In 2016, Amy Schumer became the world’s first female comedian to be featured on the Forbes list, earning an estimated $17 million that year, and placing fourth. This meant that she’d earned more in a single year than other renowned comics such as Dave Chappelle, Jeff Dunham, and Jim Gaffigan. However, despite this, the bulk of her income wasn’t generated through comedy. Almost half of her earnings that year were thanks to an $8 million book advance from Simon & Schuster. The remainder came from a combination of her upfront salary for starring in Trainwreck and her earnings from the sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer, which aired on Comedy Central.
Schumer also made the list again in 2017, and despite appearing a spot lower at fifth, her annual income had exploded to an estimated $37.5 million. However, this time, instead of book advances being her primary income source, it was her deal with Netflix that stole the show. According to initial reports, she was expected to receive $11 million to produce the stand-up special, The Leather Special. However, after she heard that Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle were being paid $20 million each, she renegotiated and allegedly secured a higher value.
Finally, in 2019, she earned an estimated $21 million, which would bring her earnings from the three years combined to a total of $65.5 million.
The Leather Special
At the beginning of 2017, Amy Schumer signed a lucrative contract with the streaming platform Netflix for her comedy special, The Leather Special, which was filmed live in Denver. It was reported that Schumer would receive $11 million from the special, which at the time was the most any female comedian had received or been offered from such a deal.
Initially, Schumer seemed satisfied with the financial incentives. However, just a short while later, in March of that year, both Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle also signed Netflix contracts for their own comedy specials. According to reports, they were each going to receive $20 million, and after Amy learned of the news, she went back to the company to ask for more money.
The situation led to much controversy and dispute surrounding the topic of gender pay gaps in entertainment-based industries, but Schumer later clarified that she didn’t demand to be paid on equal terms. She simply used Rock and Chappelle’s contracts as leverage to squeeze more out of her own. Schumer allegedly managed to renegotiate with Netflix and secure an additional $2 million, bringing her total earnings from the special to $13 million.
Highest-Grossing Movies
Schumer is known for her raunchy comedies, such as Trainwreck and Snatched, but those films have recently been pushed down the list by her voiceover work in animation films, Trolls Band Together and IF. Trolls Band Together grossed $209 million worldwide, becoming Schumer’s highest-grossing film. The movie IF, in which she had a minor role, became the second highest-grossing movie at $187 million, despite being somewhat of a flop, with a production budget of $110 million.
2015’s Trainwreck grossed $141 million at the box office, costing $35 million to produce, making it the best return on investment in Schumer’s acting career. Other notable mentions that made the list include Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, despite her only receiving a “special thanks,” which grossed $108 million. I Feel Pretty also grossed $95 million, and Snatched grossed $61 million.
Here’s a complete list of Amy Schumer’s ten highest-grossing movies:
- Trolls Band Together – $209 Million (2023)
- IF – $187 Million (2024)
- Trainwreck – $141 Million (2015)
- Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising – $108 Million (2016)
- I Feel Pretty – $95 Million (2018)
- Snatched – $61 Million (2017)
- Bros – $15 Million (2022)
- Seeking a Friend for the End of the World – $12 Million (2012)
- Thank You for Your Service – $10 Million (2017)
- Sleepwalk with Me – $2.3 Million (2012)
Real Estate
Manhatten apartment
In 2014, Schumer paid $1.695 million for an 850-square-foot, one-bedroom apartment in Manhattan. A year later, she relisted the unit on the market for $2.075 million. In 2016, the price was reduced by 20% to $1.625 million, finally closing a sale at the end of the year.
New York Penthouse
Around the same time, Schumer upgraded to a five-bedroom, 4,500-square-foot penthouse on the Upper West Side. The unit set her back $12.1 million at the time. She listed the property on the market in 2022 with an asking price of $15 million. It reportedly sold for $13 million.
Brooklyn Heights Townhome
Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, sold their penthouse in Manhattan to move to an area near their child’s school. According to reports, the couple was under contract to buy an $11 million townhouse in Brooklyn Heights. The listing has since been removed.

Introduction
Seth Meyers is an American professional comedian, writer, and actor with an estimated net worth of $26 Million.
Late Night Contract Renewal
In 2024, shortly after Meyers celebrated 10 years of hosting Late Night with Seth Meyers, NBCUniversal announced that his contract had been renewed until 2028. The agreement also included a deal between Meyers’ own production company, Sethmaker Shoemeyers, and Universal Studio Group for him to develop other projects for NBCUniversal.
Meyers’ contract for hosting the show pays him around $5 million per year. However, this amount is significantly lower than that of other late-night TV hosts, such as Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel, who both earn $15 million per year.
Despite the renewal, the show’s house band, the 8G Band, was let go by the show in August 2024 to cut costs. However, they still provided pre-recorded music, rather than playing live in the studio. Since Meyers took over the slot from Jimmy Fallon in 2014, the show has received 11 Emmy nominations, seven Writers Guild of America Award nominations, and won two Critics’ Choice Awards.
Real Estate
Meyers and his wife purchased an apartment in the West Village neighborhood of New York in December 2013 for $3.5 million. Subsequently, they renovated the property before listing it for sale in 2017 for $4.5 million. The two-bedroom apartment, which featured a sunken living room with a fireplace, a modernized kitchen, and a spa bathroom, was sold in early 2018 for the full asking price.
Before the sale of the apartment was completed, the couple purchased a 5-bedroom duplex in Greenwich Village in 2016 for $7.5 million, as they needed more space following the birth of their first child. The 3,200-square-foot residence features two wood-burning fireplaces, a chef’s kitchen, a spacious living/dining room, four and a half bathrooms, and wooden beamed ceilings. The duplex occupies two floors of a 15-story building, which has only two apartments per floor, providing complete privacy for Meyers and his wife in a prime location in the city.
Philanthropy
Meyers has supported various charitable organizations, including Amnesty International, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Cycle for Survival, Forgotten Harvest, Memorial Sloan-Kettering, Mia Hamm Foundation, Motion Picture and Television Fund Foundation, Natural Resources Defense Council, and Somaly Mam Foundation.

Introduction
Gabriel Iglesias is an American professional comedian and actor with an estimated net worth of $40 Million.
Earnings History
Year | Earnings |
---|---|
2013 | $11,000,000 |
2015 | $8,500,000 |
2016 | $9,500,000 |
2018 | $20,500,000 |
2019 | $22,000,000 |
Total | $71,500,000 |
In 2013, Forbes listed Iglesias among the world’s highest-paid comedians, earning an estimated $11 million that year. During this time, the majority of his income was earned through live performances. This includes 2015 and 2016, when he made the list again, earning an estimated $8.5 million and $9.5 million, respectively. By 2018, Gabriel Iglesias was earning $20.5 million per year through a combination of live performances — 136 in a twelve-month period, to be exact — plus voiceover work, and of course, his Netflix contract. The following year, he earned a similar figure of $22 million, which shows just how much of an impact Netflix has had on his earnings since releasing his first special.
Netflix Deal
In 2024, Gabriel Iglesias signed a contract with Netflix to release several comedy specials exclusively on the streaming platform. However, this was not the first deal the comedian signed with Netflix, as he’d previously released specials such as I’m Sorry for What I Said When I Was Hungry in 2016 and One Show Fits All in 2019. In 2022, he released Stadium Fluffy: Live From Los Angeles, with the live performance at Dodger Stadium selling out.
Since signing his current agreement, Iglesias has released his fourth Netflix special, Legend of Fluffy, which aired in January 2025. According to industry estimates, under his numerous deals with Netflix, Gabriel earns anywhere between $10 million and $15 million per special.
Volkswagen Bus Collection
Wealthy celebrities often enjoy buying luxury supercars like Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Bugattis. Others love collecting classic cars, such as American muscle from the 1960s and 1970s. Gabriel Iglesias, on the other hand, owns a collection of vehicles that truly fits his personality, and might not be all that surprising to his fans.
Iglesias loves to collect just one vehicle in particular, the Volkswagen Bus. In 2019, he took Business Insider on a tour of his museum, named The Fluffy Museum, which showcases his entire collection. By our count, there are roughly fourteen or fifteen VW buses lined up in his collection, each a different variant, either by color, cab, year, or model. This includes a custom-painted Iron Man Bus that used to be green. According to the Fluffy Guy himself, each VW Bus in his collection is valued at between $100,000 and $200,000. He also owns several VW Beetles, and of course, as any American classic car collector would, several Camaros.
In the video, Gabriel states that his current collection is worth approximately $3 million, with the VW Buses likely accounting for the majority of that value. The inspiration for collecting classic cars initially came from TV host Jay Leno, who is no stranger to valuable vehicles.
Real Estate
In September 2006, Gabriel Iglesias paid $1.4 million for a 3,322-square-foot, four-bedroom, four-bathroom home in Signal Hill, California. According to public records, ownership changed hands in 2018, but a purchase price was not listed. Reports suggest that he has since moved to San Antonio, Texas, although this is not entirely confirmed.

The 10 Most Inspirational Short Stories I’ve Heard
Mathiaz Forsberg
Nov 12, 2020 at 9:18 am
I think Tracy Morgan deserves every cent of his hard-earned net-worth due to the tragic life he has been through. A man who has survived such a life deserves to enrich his life with a gold-lining.
But as a succsess as he are, he also should invest in some nice movements and businesses to make a different and a even bigger name for himself for the world to hear, read and see all about, as well as offering stipendiums for helping people to education and develope themselves in the art of comedy that built him and took Tracy to where he is today as a contribution to the community.
His bad start of life with drugs, tragedy and missfortune did a number on him that i am sure of, but it also made him stronger and more resilliant to the surrounding.
The accident took for sure a great toll on him, but like Phoenix he rose from the ashes and became even stronger and even more resilliant, and a bunch of more experiences from the hard, cold world out there.
I personally are happy that he survived and that he did continue to work as a comedian to share wonderful stories spun-in with laughter and jokes, due to that i love to watch him and his shows.
So, I wish that he will continue to tibute with some more new-thinking comedy shows in the future.
And with that i sign out from the Northern Sweden, in a city named Umeå.
