Introduction

Francis Ngannou is a Cameroonian professional MMA fighter with an estimated net worth of $5 Million.

Ngannou gained fame for his record-breaking punch power and quickly became the UFC Heavyweight Champion. After a contract dispute with the company, he was released from the UFC and signed with the PFL.

Francis made his professional box debut in 2023 against Tyson Fury and also fought against Anthony Joshua in 2024. These two fights earned him more money than from all his MMA fights combined.

Early Life

Francis Zavier Ngannou was born 5 September 1986 in Batie, Cameroon and spent his childhood in the country.

Ngannou grew up in a rough area that was ravaged by gang violence and he had to work odd jobs at a young age just to make ends meet.

He made his way to Paris, France at 26 years old in hopes of becoming a professional boxer, but was introduced to MMA Factory where he started training in mixed martial arts.

In 2013, Ngannou made his professional debut, defeating Rachid Benzina at 100% Fight: Contenders 20 via submission.

Career

After dropping his second fight against Zoumana Cisse, Ngannou won his next 10 matches, which included his UFC debut against Luis Henrique.

Ngannou ran into a brief cold streak in 2018 when he dropped decisions to Stipe Miocic and Derrick Lewis, with the former match being his first title shot.

He then rebounded with wins over Curtis Blaydes and Cain Velasquez, running his record to 13-3 and re-entering the title scene in the Dana White promotion.

Ngannou became a dominant force, defeating Junior dos Santos and Jairzinho Rozenstruik en route to a rematch with Stipe Miocic, this time winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship and defending it successfully against Ciryl Gane.

Career Earnings

When Francis Ngannou was lower on the card with Ultimate Fighting Championship, he was only making a livable wage.

Eventually, Ngannou would become a headliner with the likes of Anderson Silva and earned a seven-figure salary for the first time when he became the UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Here’s an estimated overview of Franic Ngannou’s career earnings:

  • 2015 – $25,000
  • 2016 – $175,000
  • 2017 – $220,000
  • 2018 – $900,000
  • 2019 – $525,000
  • 2020 – $320,000
  • 2021 – $900,000
  • 2022 – $1.2 Million

Now that he’s one of the biggest names in the UFC, Ngannou is one of the higher-paid active fighters in the promotion.

The heavyweight division is one of the more intriguing and brings out the casual fans, making Ngannou a massive draw for UFC.

Net Worth Annually

Throughout the early parts of his career, Francis Ngannou was essentially living payout to payout between fights.

These days, Ngannou is able to deposit his massive fight payouts directly into his bank account as his net worth has grown tremendously.

He’s hoping to one day be in the discussion with the likes of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Georges St. Pierre on the list of richest fight

Here’s a breakdown of Francis Ngannou’s annual net worth:

  • 2015 – $50,000
  • 2016 – $175,000
  • 2017 – $350,000
  • 2018 – $1 Million
  • 2019 – $1.4 Million
  • 2020 – $1.6 Million
  • 2021 – $2.2 Million
  • 2022 – $3 Million

Ngannou has come a long way since he was a struggling fighter in Cameroon and Paris, and is now headlining the largest MMA promotion in the world.

As one of the UFC’s biggest names, the company will continue to market him and increase his net worth in 2022 and the years beyond.

Personal Life

Francis Ngannou was raised mostly by his aunt in Cameroon and he spent much of his 20s in Paris, France.

He has never been married, does not have children, and is currently believed to be single.

Much of Ngannou’s free time is spent supporting his gym in his home country and the community surrounding it via the Francis Ngannou Foundation.

Awards & Achievements

While most of those that eventually make it into the UFC have a long list of accomplishments that go back to their high school days, Ngannou didn’t find his stride until his late 20s.

Even as a late bloomer, Ngannou has a long list of accomplishments that include becoming a heavyweight champion.

Here are the most prestigious awards and achievements of Francis Ngannou’s career thus far:

  • Won the 2017 Knockout of the Year from Bleacher Report and ESPN for his win over Alistair Overeem.
  • Holds the world record for hardest punch.
  • Six-time recipient of the Performance of the Night bonus in the UFC.
  • Won the UFC Heavyweight Championship and was the first Cameroon-born UFC champion.
  • Successfully defended his championship against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270.

Ngannou is hopeful that his time at the top of the UFC isn’t over as he continues to hang on to his UFC Heavyweight Championship.

While you don’t get another belt for defending your title, Ngannou is still in line to make millions with each fight for his belt.

Summary

Francis Ngannou has come a long way since his days of poverty in Cameroon and working odd jobs in Paris. After making his way to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Ngannou became one of the best pound-for-pound fighters. Throughout his career, Ngannou has established himself as one of the richest and most successful MMA fighters.

Brendan Schaub Net Worth Profile

Introduction

Brendan Schaub is an American stand-up comedian, podcast host, and former professional MMA fighter with an estimated net worth of $4 Million.

UFC Earnings

While Brendan Schaub was never one of the highest-paid fighters in the UFC, he managed to secure some decent paydays throughout his MMA career. For his knockout against Mirko “Cro Cop” at UFC 128 in 2011, Schaub earned a combined $94,000, comprising $12,000 to show, $12,000 to win, and a $70,000 bonus for Knockout of the Night.

In 2013, he reportedly earned a combined $82,000 from his bouts with Matt Mitrione and Lavar Johnson. A year later, he earned an additional $79,000 from his fights with Travis Browne and Andrei Arlovski. Schaub reportedly earned at least $255,000 from these five fights.

The figures mentioned above don’t include additional income from sponsorships and PPV splits. It’s also worth noting that his fights took place before the UFC’s deal with Reebok, when fighters were allowed to display sponsor logos on their shorts and fight banners. Before the agreement, sponsors accounted for a significant amount of a fighter’s income.

The Fighter & The Kid Podcast

In 2013, shortly before retiring from mixed martial arts, Brendan Schaub launched The Fighter & The Kid podcast with his friend Bryan Callen, under the Fox Sports umbrella. The podcast features various guests to discuss topics related to MMA, comedy, and other miscellaneous day-to-day stories. They hosted TFTK with Fox Sports between 2013 and 2016, airing roughly 160 episodes, before leaving the network to publish independently on YouTube and other platforms.

In the last few years, the show has gone through several setbacks, one of which was due to the sexual misconduct allegations levied against Bryan Callen, which led him to step out of the limelight for a brief period.

Another, more recent issue was when Callen decided to move his family, and the podcast, from Los Angeles to Austin, Texas. It appears that Schaub wasn’t particularly keen to move, but was somewhat forced to do so to keep the podcast alive. Many spectators have shared their opinions on the move, claiming that Schaub has looked slightly depressed in recent interviews after moving to a new studio in Austin.

Pure Spectrum CBD Earnings & Lawsuit

In February 2019, Brendan Schaub signed a contract with the CBD company, Pure Spectrum, that would give him a 10% stake in the brand. The terms of the agreement were recently disclosed as part of a lawsuit filing against Schaub, and outline Brendan’s obligations as follows:

  • Post 5 Instagram stories per month
  • Publish two static posts per month on all platforms
  • Feature Pure Spectrum on the TFTK podcast
  • Allow the brand to use his likeness for marketing
  • Host the owner of Pure Spectrum on his podcast
  • Make one in-person event appearance per year

Aside from an equity percentage, Schaub was also given the highest affiliate commission rate possible for generating sales for Pure Spectrum. According to various affiliate platforms, the base commission rate is 20% of the order value for each sale referred; however, premium affiliates can earn up to 40% per sale. This is likely the percentage that Schaub received, although it could have been as high as 50%.

Pure Spectrum Lawsuit

In June 2025, Brady L. Bell, the founder of Pure Spectrum, filed a civil lawsuit against Brendan and several others, citing numerous allegations, including civil theft, fraud, wire fraud, and IRS fraud. The lawsuit detailed the contractual obligations listed above and also stated that Schaub had earned $370,000 in affiliate commissions from Pure Spectrum but failed to fulfill his duties.

One of the more interesting claims from the court documents was that Schaub allegedly demanded that Pure Spectrum send emails to its customer database promoting Schaub’s comedy specials, which had received very negative reviews on review websites such as IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes. This case was so severe that IMDb and Showtime allegedly threatened legal action against the company for improper promotional activities. The lawsuit is currently ongoing.

Highlights

Here are some of the best highlights of Brendan Schaub’s career:

  • The Ultimate Fighter (Television Series, 2009)
  • The Fighter and the Kid (Comedy Podcast)
  • Been doing stand-up since 2015

Eddie Alvarez Net Worth

Eddie Alvarez was one of the best lightweight fighters of his generation, and was able to win championships with both the UFC and Bellator MMA.

Eddie Alvarez Net Worth Profile

Born:January 11, 1984

Introduction

Eddie Alvarez is an American professional MMA fighter with an estimated net worth of $8 Million.

Before Wealth & Fame

Edward Alvarez was born on January 11, 1984, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he still resides today. Alvarez learned boxing at a young age thanks to his father, Frank, who practiced the sport at the Front Street Gym in Philadelphia.

During his teenage years, Alvarez got more involved with wrestling, turning down several scholarship offers to pursue a career as a mixed martial artist. Alvarez finally had his first professional match in 2003, defeating Anthony Ladonna via knockout in the first round.

MMA Career

Eddie Alvarez would run his career record to 10-0 at the start of his career and lost just one (to Nick Thompson) of his first 16 fights.

In 2009, Alvarez made his debut with Bellator MMA, defeating Greg Loughran in the first round via submission, and went on to become the promotion’s first lightweight champion. Alvarez fought for Bellator MMA for five years, including a win that reclaimed the title he had lost, before moving to the UFC in 2014.

He would lose his debut match against Donald Cerrone, but went on to win fights against Anthony Pettis and Rafael dos Anjos, ultimately winning the UFC Lightweight Championship. Alvarez dropped the belt to Conor McGregor in 2016, and since then has had sporadic matches, including fights against Dustin Poirier, Iuri Lapicus, and Ok Rae Yoon.

UFC Earnings

Eddie Alvarez was with the UFC for several years and became one of the richest MMA fighters thanks to his time in the championship scene. Alvarez frequently had fights throughout Bellator MMA and UFC, typically earning six figures per bout, with most of his matches paying him between $100,000 and $200,000.

Although the UFC doesn’t disclose every single fighter’s paycheck, there are several of Eddie’s previous purses that we do know. In 2014, Alvarez fought Donald Cerrone at UFC 178, earning $50,000 to show and $50,000 to win, totaling $100,000. When he fought Rafael dos Anjos at UFC Fight Night 90 in 2016, he received a base salary of $150,000, plus an additional $50,000 bonus for Performance of the Night, totaling $200,000.

Naturally, it would be safe to assume that Eddie’s fight with Conor McGregor at UFC 205 produced the biggest payout of his career. Unfortunately, there’s no way of knowing for sure, as his pay was never disclosed. However, McGregor’s, on the other hand, was revealed as part of an antitrust lawsuit filed against the UFC. Conor reportedly earned $6.8 million for his knockout victory over Alvarez, which was listed as the second-highest payout of all time.

ONE Championship Contract

Most people assume that because the UFC is the biggest and most successful MMA organization, they automatically pay more money than every other organization. However, this is not necessarily the case. In 2018, after leaving the UFC, Alvarez signed a contract with ONE Championship and revealed on Ariel Helwani’s show that the offer was “through the roof” and was a “guaranteed eight-figure deal” in total, which means that he should have earned at least $10 million from the contract. He was also made a partner of the organization, which likely had its own financial benefits.

Now then, Alvarez only fought four times in ONE Championship before becoming a free agent. Therefore, we don’t know whether he actually completed the contract in full or terminated it early. He did say the eight-figure sum was guaranteed, so in either case, his earnings with the promotion were likely much more than his time in the UFC.

Expenditure

Although not among the richest MMA fighters, Eddie Alvarez has still earned a significant amount of money throughout his career. Alvarez was born and raised in Pennsylvania and chose to stay in the city when buying a new home. Although the exact amount wasn’t listed for the sale, it’s estimated that Alvarez spent over $500,000 to relocate to the northeast part of Philadelphia. It isn’t just his own home, either, as Alvarez heavily invests in real estate and considers it his second-largest hobby, behind fighting.

Personal Life

Eddie Alvarez met his now-wife Jamie in high school, and the couple has been married since 2008. Along the way, the two have had four children, three of whom are sons, with the family now residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

From 2009 to 2012, Alvarez made multiple appearances on the hit reality series Bully Beatdown on MTV, knocking out each bully he faced.

Summary

Eddie Alvarez has accomplished a great deal throughout his fighting career and is considered one of the best lightweight fighters of his time. Not many people can say they’ve won championships with both UFC and Bellator, but Alvarez has done just that. He begins to focus on his investing career when he’s done fighting, which will undoubtedly also be a success.

Brock Lesnar Net Worth

Brock Lesnar Net Worth
Net Worth:$25 Million

Brock Lesnar is an American professional wrestler and former MMA fighter with an estimated net worth of $25 Million.

Financial Struggles

Brock Lesnar has previously discussed his past struggles with managing finances during the early days of his career in interviews. He mentioned that shortly after signing his first WWE contract, worth $250,000, he “was almost bankrupt” after failing to manage the money properly. Fortunately for Lesnar, he learnt this lesson very early on in his career and began bringing himself up to speed on financial literacy. This, no doubt, helped him tremendously as he started earning seven-figure sums from both the WWE and the UFC.

WWE Contracts & Lawsuit

As we briefly mentioned, Lesnar’s first contract with the WWE was reportedly worth $250,000 in 2002. A year later, he signed a new deal that increased his annual base salary to $1 million. Perhaps one of the more interesting events in Brock’s wrestling career was his decision to turn down a $45 million contract extension in 2004. The agreement was listed as having a term of seven to ten years, which would have increased his annual salary to between $4.5 million and $6.43 million, depending on the duration of the contract.

Instead, he walked away from the organization, citing burnout and salary cap limitations as his reasons for doing so.

WWE Lawsuit (2004)

As part of Brock Lesnar’s agreement with the WWE, he was required to sign a non-compete clause, which prohibited him from being involved in any form of sports entertainment until the original contract expiration date in 2010. Since Lesnar literally only performed under the deal for one year, having to wait another six years to compete in any other sport was unsatisfactory for him.

In February 2005, Lesnar filed a federal lawsuit against the WWE, seeking to have the non-compete clause declared invalid. The organization filed its counterclaim and was later granted an extension on the deadline to justify the clause. In April 2006, both parties agreed to a confidential settlement, and Lesnar became free to compete in wrestling and MMA. Although there were certain limitations in place, none of which affected Brock all that much.

UFC Earnings

Not all of Brock Lesnar’s fight purses in the UFC were publicly disclosed, and pay-per-view earnings are often kept confidential; however, we do have information regarding Lesnar’s earnings for several of his fights. His earliest recorded fight purse was $450,000 for defeating Randy Couture at UFC 91 in 2008. The figure comprised a $250,000 base purse, plus an additional $200,000 win bonus.

When Brock fought and beat Frank Mir at UFC 100 the following year, his disclosed earnings were $400,000. However, he also reportedly scored a percentage of the PPV revenues, and Mir later stated that Lesnar earned seven figures from the fight. Brock also earned $400,000 in 2010 for his bout with Shane Carwin at UFC 116.

Finally, after a long layoff, Brock returned for UFC 200 in 2016, defeating Mark Hunt and earning an impressive $2.5 million. While these four fights amount to at least $3.75 million in UFC earnings, several reports suggest that Lesnar may have earned over $5.3 million in total.

Real Estate

In April 2003, Brock Lesnar paid $783,500 for a 3,700-square-foot, four-bedroom, four-bathroom home in Maple Plain, Minnesota. The property spans a whopping 22 acres of land, featuring a long private road that leads to the main house, which is secluded by trees. In November 2010, he listed the property for sale with an asking price of $849,000, but it didn’t attract any potential buyers. Four years later, it sold for just $750,000.

Highlights

Here are some of the best highlights of Brock Lesnar’s career:

  • Ohio Valley Wrestling (2000)
  • WWE Champion (2002)
  • Japanese Promotion (2005)
  • Returned to WWE (2012)
  • WWE World Heavyweight Champion (2014)
