  • Signed a 3-year, $150.3 million extension with the Cavaliers in 2024
  • Donated $12 million to the Greenwich Country Day School in 2020

Net Worth History

When we started tracking Donovan Mitchell’s net worth in 2021, he was worth approximately $20 million. This figure was evaluated after the first year of his $163 million extension with the Utah Jazz, where he earned $28.1 million. Since then, Mitchel has earned another $63 million in salary, plus additional income from sponsors and endorsements. As of 2024, Donovan Mitchell’s net worth is estimated to be roughly $40 Million.

Career Overview

Donovan Mitchell grew up in New York with his sister and parents, Donovan Sr. Mitchell, a former MLB player, and Nicole Mitchell, a teacher. Mitchell played baseball for Canterbury but received injuries shortly afterward, ending his career.

During childhood, he spent significant time around MLB players and looked up to the Mets’ minor league star, Scott Kazmir. This exposure to sports inspired him to play AAU basketball for the City and Riverside Hawks programs in New York City.

Winning The Slam Dunk Contest

Shortly after college, Donovan was chosen by the Utah Jazz in the 2017 NBA draft, with Tony Bradley also being selected as the 28th overall pick. Following his draft to the Utah Jazz, he signed a four-year rookie-scale contract, and later that day, he scored 37 points against the Memphis Grizzlies.

In addition to signing a multi-year shoe deal with Adidas, Jerry Lorenzo inspired the making of his Issue 4 shoe. He also collaborated with Filipino muralist and illustrator Jappy Agoncillo for a special edition release of the D.O.N issue 3, dubbed “Origin Story.” That same year, Donovan was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team with Kyle Kuzma, Jayson Tatum, and Ben Simmons.

He scored a career-high 41 points in his rookie season and was named Western Conference Rookie of the Month multiple times. Following that, he won the NBA Slam Dunk contest and, a few years later, the NBA All-Star Game MVP award. Donovan set the record for most three-pointers in a season and recorded 27 points in a playoff debut against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Named NBA All-Star

He led the Utah Jazz to a first-round playoff win against the Oklahoma City Thunder, playing against NBA stars Paul George and Steven Adams. Soon after, Mitchell opened the 2019-20 season with a 105-95 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder and a 105-94 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. During the season, he surpassed them with a 128-120 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans and was named an All-Star for the first time.

Mitchell was selected as a Western Conference reserve for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game, scoring 38 points in a 131-111 loss to the Phoenix Suns. Four months later, Donovan’s teammate Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19, which suspended the NBA’s season.

The Utah Jazz then played against the Denver Nuggets in the first round with Donovan, who unfortunately only scored 57 points, resulting in their loss. A few days later, he scored 51 points, making him the only player alongside Michael Jordan to score 50 or more in a playoff season. Besides being named an NBA All-Star for the second time in a row, Mitchell signed a five-year rookie extension with the Jazz.

Winning NBA Awards

Donovan then scored 45 points in a playoff game against the Los Angeles Clippers, playing against Nicolas Batum and Reggie Jackson. He was then named an NBA All-Star for the third time, traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and scored a career-high 71 points.

Mitchell, Caris LeVert, Collin Sexton, and Ochai Agbaji set the team record for scoring in a playoff debut with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was eliminated because the Cavaliers had lost their third straight game to the Knicks, despite solid performances from the Cleveland Cavaliers and Donovan.

Following the loss to the Knicks, Mitchell suffered injuries, including a fractured nose and bone bruise in his knee, which caused him to miss several games. Despite his injuries, Donovan recovered and played against the Orlando Magic, scoring 50 points in a 103-96 loss, but he scored 52.1% of the Cavalier’s points.

He sent the Cavaliers past the Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference semi-finals and won Cleveland’s first playoff series since LeBron James in 1994. Donovan became the seventh player in NBA history to score 70+ points and recently won the NBA All-Star Game selection award for 2024.

In 2017, Donovan Mitchell signed a four-year rookie contract worth $14.6 million with the Utah Jazz. The deal was initially guaranteed for $5.7 million, and Mitchell earned $2.6 million in his first NBA season. His annual salary increased year-over-year, earning him $5.2 million in the final year of the contract.

In 2021, Mitchell signed a five-year rookie extension with Utah worth $163 million. The contract was fully guaranteed, increasing his average annual salary by almost 900% from 3.6 million to $32.6 million.

After trying and struggling to build a team centered around Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, Utah opted to trade Mitchell to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2022.

As things stand, Mitchell is set to carry out the remainder of his contract with the Cavaliers, earning a minimum of $30 million/year. Mitchell earned $30.9 million in 2022 and $33.2 million in 2023 and is set to earn $34.8 million this season.

In 2024, Donovan inked a new three-year, $150.3 million contract with the Cavaliers, which will commence in 2025. The deal’s value is fully guaranteed, and Mitchell’s annual average salary will increase to $50 million. Thus far in his NBA career, Donovan Mitchell has earned $107.1 million.

Endorsements

Two years into his NBA career, Donovan Mitchell released his first signature shoe, the D.O.N. Issue #1, produced by Adidas. Mitchell signed with the brand in 2017 during his rookie season. Issue #6 of the D.O.N. was released in 2024.

While the terms of Mitchell’s deal with Adidas were never publicly disclosed, six signatures shoes in five years indicate that the partnership is performing well. Adidas has been known to pay other NBA stars $10-$15 million/year for their signature shoe deals, including:

Outside the realm of shoe deals, Mitchell has also worked with brands such as:

  • Body Armour
  • Doterra
  • MORE
  • New Era
  • Stance
  • Vivint

In 2019, Mitchell starred alongside Rudy Gobert in several commercials promoting Vivint smart home products. That same year, he was featured in a Sony Pictures Entertainment commercial alongside Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal for Spider-Man: Far From Home. The video promoted the new movie and Mitchell’s first shoe, released in a ‘Spider-Man-themed’ blue & red colorway.

Real Estate

While not much is known about Mitchell’s personal real estate purchases, he spent $250,000 of the first $1 million he made in the NBA on buying a house for his mom. This isn’t an uncommon occurrence with professional athletes. Fellow NBA players such as Christian Wood and Kyle Kuzma have also bought houses for their families in the early days of their careers.

Greenwich Country Day School Donation

In December 2020, Mitchell and his family pledged $12 million to Greenwich Country Day School, the largest single donation in the school’s history.

Mitchell graduated from GCDS in 2012, his sister graduated in 2017, and his mother, Nicole, worked at the school from 2007 to 2019. Therefore, Mitchell has a long and personal history with the school, stating that he was blessed to be financially able to give back to the school that helped shape his success.

The donation was reportedly split into three key initiatives. The first was the Mitchell Family Scholarship Fund, which provides need-based aid for students in grades Nursery through 12.

The second was the Nicole Mitchell Faculty Support Fund, which awards teachers financial awards based on their passion, dedication, and enthusiasm for the children, which Nicole Mitchell herself has always shown.

Lastly, the remaining initiative was to build the Determination Over Negativity Mitchell Family Athletic Center (D.O.N), a top-of-the-line gymnasium featuring a full NCAA regulation court and stands on both sides.

Mitchell stated that there’s no better school to carry forward his mission of social justice, equal opportunity, and equity in education and is excited to see this happen at GCDS.

Zion Williamson is an American professional NBA player for the New Orleans Pelicans with an estimated net worth of $18 Million.

Williamson is still relatively fresh into his NBA career, having just completed his rookie contract. With five seasons under his belt, Zion has averaged 22.9 points per game and a salary of $15.5 million per year. Thus far, Williamson has earned $77.6 million in base salary and additional income from endorsements estimated to be between $50-$60 million.

  • Earned $77.6 million in salary thus far
  • Signed a five-year, $197.2 million extension with the Pelicans in 2023
  • Typically earns $12 million/year from endorsements
  • Signed a seven-year, $77 million endorsement deal with Jordan

Net Worth History

We first researched Zion Williamson’s net worth in 2020. He was estimated to be worth $8 million back then, but that was when he only earned $9 million yearly. Since then, he’s gained an additional $68 million in salary and roughly $50-$60 million from endorsements.

In 2025, Zion Williamson’s net worth is estimated to be $18 Million.

High School Basketball

Zion Williamson started making a name for himself in high school, winning the Under Armour Elite 24 showcase dunk contest.

During his junior season, Williamson went viral with his highlight videos, and Drake even wore his jersey in an Instagram post. After surpassing 2,000 points in January 2017, Williamson appeared on the cover of Slam and received All-USA First Team Honors.

Williamson finished his high school career as South Carolina’s Mr. Basketball and the runner-up to Mr. Basketball USA. In a live interview on ESPN, Williamson committed to attending Duke University, playing his first game for them in November 2018.

Duke University

Zion Williamson started his collegiate career strong and was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Freshman of the Week. Soon after, he broke the record for the most points recorded in a single game and was named ACC Freshman of the Week once more.

Unfortunately, in February 2019, Williamson was benched with a knee sprain after his shoe broke, causing him to slip. Following the incident, Nike’s stock dropped $1.1 billion, while Williamson earned Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year honors. He then appeared in the NCAA Tournament, joining Kevin Durant and Anthony Davis as the third freshman to earn 500 points, 50 steals, and 50 blocks in a season.

New Orleans Pelicans

After entering the 2019 NBA draft, the New Orleans Pelicans selected Zion Williamson with the first pick. Unfortunately, Williamson tore the cartilage in his knee during the preseason, delaying his debut until January 2020. However, once he was on the court again, Williamson wasted no time making a name for himself and racking up points. In his first eight games, he scored at least 20 points in four consecutive games, the longest 20+ point streak by a rookie Pelican.

Soon after, he surpassed Carmelo Anthony as the first teenager to score at least 20 points in 10 consecutive games in NBA history. He became the first rookie since Michael Jordan to earn 16 20-point games within their first 20 contests.

Following his rookie season, Zion Williamson tied Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record for the longest 20-point streak in his first two seasons. His streak eventually surpassed Wilt Chamberlain and Karl Malone’s streaks, tying him with Shaquille O’Neal’s record of 25.

While things were going well for the basketball star, during the 2021 off-season, he suffered a fracture in his foot and underwent surgery. Williamson missed the entirety of the 2021-2022 season, but in July 2022, he signed a five-year extension with the Pelicans.

He returned in October 2022 and earned Western Conference Player of the Week honors before being sidelined with a hamstring injury in January. Ultimately, he ended up sitting out the rest of the season and returning in November 2023. Although he returned strong, on April 16, 2024, he suffered another injury during a game against the L.A. Lakers.

Endorsements

As the number one pick in the 2019 NBA draft, brands lined up to sign high-value endorsement deals with Zion Williamson. In the year the Pelicans selected him, a bidding war took place to obtain Zion on a shoe endorsement contract, with Nike winning out over the competition.

Williamson signed a 7-year deal with Nike Jordan worth $75 million, averaging $10.8 million/year. It was recorded as the most valuable NBA shoe deal since Nike signed LeBron in 2003. Zion released his first signature shoe, the Jordan Zion 1, in April 2021, and he has since released two more.

In the same year he signed with Nike, it was reported that Williamson signed a multi-year deal with Gatorade, which is estimated to earn him a 7-figure sum annually. Thanks to his big brand deals with Nike and Gatorade, Forbes estimated Zion Williamson’s endorsement income to be $20 million in 2020. Estimates of Zion’s annual endorsement income fell significantly to $12 million for 2023.

Williamson has also worked with brands such as:

Thus far in his NBA career, Kevin Durant has earned $396.7 million and is still guaranteed roughly $103 million on his current active contract, which could put his total NBA earnings at $499.8 million by the end of the 2025/26 season.

PSG Investment

Kevin Durant became a minority shareholder in the French soccer club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), by investing several million dollars indirectly through Arctos Sports Partners. The investment firm acquired a 12.5% stake in the club in 2023, which has since risen in value to $4.6 billion.

In August 2024, Durant officially joined PSG’s ownership, further expanding his business ventures. While the financial specifics of his investment remain private, it reflects the growing trend of NBA players investing in European football clubs. Durant’s involvement aims to enhance PSG’s brand presence in the U.S. ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

The partnership is expected to include collaborative content creation and strategic development between Boardroom Sports Holdings and PSG, with a focus on innovation and excellence, particularly in youth and women’s teams. This move mirrors similar investments by other athletes, such as LeBron James’ stake in Liverpool FC in 2011 and Tom Brady’s investment in Birmingham City in 2023. Durant’s participation as an investor is anticipated to significantly bolster Paris Saint-Germain’s marketing and sponsorship efforts in the United States.

In June 2025, Kevin Durant reportedly invested an additional eight-figure sum into PSG through his own company, Boardroom Sports Holdings, which means he now holds a direct ownership stake in the club.

Real Estate

Oklahoma Home

In April 2011, Durant paid $1.8 million for a 5,744-square-foot, five-bedroom home in Oklahoma City. In July 2013, he returned the property to the market, looking for $1.95 million, and increased the price to $2.2 million in November. According to reports, the home eventually sold in 2016 for just $1.1 million, resulting in a significant loss.

Miami Condo

In April 2011, Kevin purchased a 3,535-square-foot, three-bedroom apartment in Miami’s Biscayne Bay area for $1.825 million. When it came time to sell in 2015, Durant profited significantly, listing the unit for $3.45 million and selling it for $3.15 million.

Malibu Beach House

In April 2018, KD paid $12.05 million for a four-bedroom beachfront home in Malibu, California. The property was initially listed for $12.45 million before Durant snagged a $400,000 discount. A year later, he listed it for sale or rent at $13.5 million or $70,000 per month, respectively. The house sold for $12.15 million to CSI creator Anthony Zuiker in June. The property taxes for the year KD owned the beach house amounted to $156,000.
