Before Wealth & Fame
Hyland DeAndre Jordan Jr. was born on July 21, 1988, in Houston, Texas, where he would later attend Episcopal High School and begin playing basketball.
During his junior year, Jordan transferred to Christian Life Center Academy, where he continued playing and set the school’s record for the most blocks in a single game during his senior year.
After graduation, Jordan was rated as a #8 prospect, and many schools attempted to recruit him, including Florida, Florida State, Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, Indiana, and Kentucky. Jordan opted to attend Texas A&M, where he earned a spot on the Big 12 All-Rookie Team and declared for the NBA draft after just a year of playing for the university.
NBA Career
In the NBA, the Los Angeles Clippers selected Jordan as the 35th overall pick. In his first season, he excelled on the court, even achieving ten dunks, which only Dwight Howard and Shaquille O’Neal had done before.
Jordan signed multiple extensions with the Clippers, including a four-year extension worth $43 million in 2011 and another worth $80 million in 2015. The Clippers matched the latter figure to retain Jordan after the Mavericks offered the amount to join them. After playing for the Clippers from 2008 to 2018, Jordan joined the Dallas Mavericks for a single season but left without signing an extension to join the Brooklyn Nets.
In September 2021, Jordan signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, but he was waived in March 2022, causing him to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers for the remainder of the season. However, Jordan didn’t opt to re-sign with the 76ers, and in July of 2022, he signed with the Denver Nuggets, with whom he has remained since.

Endorsements
In 2011, at age 23, DeAndre Jordan signed a multi-year shoe endorsement deal with Under Armour. The exact dollar amount was never publicly disclosed.
During Jordan’s free-agent period in 2015, the NBA fined the LA Clippers $250,000 for offering him a $200,000 annual sponsorship with the Lexus automaker. The offer violated the NBA’s anti-circumvention rules, which prevent teams from providing or organizing compensation to players outside of their contracts.
In 2018, Forbes listed Jordan as one of the highest-paid athletes in the world, with an estimated endorsement income of $1 million/year.
Real Estate
Pacific Palisades Home
In 2015, Jordan paid $12.7 million for a brand-new mansion in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of L.A., although he sold it a year later for only $11 million, for reasons that were never made public.
Malibu Homes
After selling his initial mansion, Jordan paid $5 million for a Malibu home but did something completely unexpected several years later. DeAndre bought a new mansion in Malibu for $10 million and sold his previous one for $5.7 million. However, a year later, in 2020, Jordan listed his newest Malibu mansion for sale with an asking price of $9.95 million, approximately $50,000 less than he initially paid.
While we’re not sure of the reason behind DeAndre’s interesting real estate choices, we suppose that if you have a net worth like his, spending millions on new mansions every few years is the equivalent of buying a new pair of shoes for most people.

Seattle Supersonics Contracts & Salary
In 2007, Kevin Durant signed a four-year rookie contract with the Seattle Supersonics worth $19.5 million. The deal was fully guaranteed, and Durant earned $4.2 million in his first season in the NBA. When the team relocated to Oklahoma in 2008, Durant earned $4.5 million, followed by $4.8 million in 2009 and $6.1 million in 2010.
In 2011, he signed a five-year maximum rookie extension with Oklahoma valued at $89.2 million. The deal was fully guaranteed, increasing his average annual salary to $17.8 million. He earned $12.5 million in the contract’s first year and $20.1 million in the fifth and final year.
Golden State Warriors Contracts & Salary
In 2016, Durant signed a two-year contract with the Golden State Warriors worth $54.3 million. However, the deal ultimately turned out to be a one-year contract, and he earned $26.5 million. A similar scenario unfolded in 2017 when he re-signed with the Warriors on a two-year deal, which was later reduced to a one-year deal worth $25 million.
Again, in 2018, he signed a two-year deal with the Warriors, which became $30 million over one year. In 2019, Kevin Durant signed the first nine-figure contract of his career, a four-year, $164.3 million deal with the Golden State Warriors, which was facilitated under a sign-and-trade agreement.
Durant was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, where he would earn $38.2 million in 2019, $38.8 million in 2020, and $42 million in 2021. These annual numbers are estimated to include roughly $1 million in incentives.
Phoenix Suns Contract & Salary
Durant was traded to the Phoenix Suns during the latter half of the 2022/23 season, where he signed a four-year, $194.2 million contract. This is his current active contract, which earned him $46.4 million in 2023. He is estimated to earn just under $50 million for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
Thus far in his NBA career, Kevin Durant has earned $396.7 million and is still guaranteed roughly $103 million on his current active contract, which could put his total NBA earnings at $499.8 million by the end of the 2025/26 season.
PSG Investment
Kevin Durant became a minority shareholder in the French soccer club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), by investing several million dollars indirectly through Arctos Sports Partners. The investment firm acquired a 12.5% stake in the club in 2023, which has since risen in value to $4.6 billion.
In August 2024, Durant officially joined PSG’s ownership, further expanding his business ventures. While the financial specifics of his investment remain private, it reflects the growing trend of NBA players investing in European football clubs. Durant’s involvement aims to enhance PSG’s brand presence in the U.S. ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
The partnership is expected to include collaborative content creation and strategic development between Boardroom Sports Holdings and PSG, with a focus on innovation and excellence, particularly in youth and women’s teams. This move mirrors similar investments by other athletes, such as LeBron James’ stake in Liverpool FC in 2011 and Tom Brady’s investment in Birmingham City in 2023. Durant’s participation as an investor is anticipated to significantly bolster Paris Saint-Germain’s marketing and sponsorship efforts in the United States.
In June 2025, Kevin Durant reportedly invested an additional eight-figure sum into PSG through his own company, Boardroom Sports Holdings, which means he now holds a direct ownership stake in the club.
Real Estate

According to reports, the home eventually sold in 2016 for just $1.1 million, resulting in a significant loss.
Miami Condo
In April 2011, Kevin purchased a 3,535-square-foot, three-bedroom apartment in Miami’s Biscayne Bay area for $1.825 million. When it came time to sell in 2015, Durant profited significantly, listing the unit for $3.45 million and selling it for $3.15 million.
Malibu Beach House
In April 2018, KD paid $12.05 million for a four-bedroom beachfront home in Malibu, California. The property was initially listed for $12.45 million before Durant snagged a $400,000 discount. A year later, he listed it for sale or rent at $13.5 million or $70,000 per month, respectively. The house sold for $12.15 million to CSI creator Anthony Zuiker in June. The property taxes for the year KD owned the beach house amounted to $156,000.

After his rookie deal, Ariza signed a three-year contract with the Orlando Magic worth $9.3 million. He earned $3.1 million with Orlando before being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2007. Arisa finished the contract with the Lakers, taking home the entire $9.3 million.
In 2009, he signed a five-year, $33.9 million contract with the Houston Rockets; however, he would only spend one season with the team. Under the deal, Ariza earned $5.9 million with the Rockets, $6.3 million with the New Orleans Hornets, and $20.4 million with the Washington Wizards.
In 2014, he returned to Houston after signing a four-year sign-and-trade deal valued at $32 million. During this period, he earned an average annual salary of $8 million.
After leaving Houston in 2018, Ariza played for seven more teams, earning an additional $42 million. During his NBA career, Trevor Ariza earned $116.9 million, split between 11 teams. Most of his earnings came from five seasons at Houston, where he earned $37.9 million, and four seasons at Washington, where he earned $30.4 million.
Divorce Proceedings
Trevor Ariza married Bree Anderson in April 2018, and the couple has two children together, Taylor and Tristan. Ariza also has a child from a previous relationship, and Bree took on the role of stepmother to the child. In September 2022, Anderson filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.
Interestingly, this was the year immediately following his retirement from the NBA, and as a result, he experienced a significant drop in his annual income during that time. According to court documents, Anderson alleged that Ariza was earning up to $5 million per month from salary, bonuses, and endorsements. Based on our research, we could not find any information that suggests Ariza was earning anywhere near this figure. His highest annual salary in the NBA was $15 million in 2018 – that’s a yearly amount, not a monthly one.
Anderson also claimed that her mortgage was $18,000 per month, and her monthly expenses totaled $49,000, which she could not afford. This led to Anderson launching a dispute for both child support and spousal support following the divorce.
Child & Spousal Support
In her request for support, Anderson asked for $60,000 per month to maintain her previous standard of living. She also asked for $250,000 in legal fees to support her during the case. During the legal proceedings, Trevor Ariza submitted a CPA statement to the courts, which proved his monthly income was only $21,000 at the time. That’s a pretty big difference from the $5 million figure Anderson had previously claimed. Ariza argued that he could only afford $3,086 per month in support.
Based on the financial statements Ariza provided, the judge awarded Anderson $10,000 per month in child support, plus a one-time payment of $664,000. She also received the San Diego property that the couple previously owned.
In March 2025, Ariza initiated efforts to reduce his monthly child support obligations, stating that his income had continued to decline and he could no longer afford $10,000 per month. He also requested that the courts provide him with full custody of Tristan, who’d been living with him for at least a year. This case is currently ongoing.
Highlights
Here are some of the best highlights of Trevor Ariza’s career:
- Second-team Parade All-American (2003)
- California Mr. Basketball (2003)
- Pac-10 All-Freshman Team (2004)
- NBA champion (2009)

In 2017, De’Aaron Fox signed a four-year rookie contract worth $24.6 million with the Sacramento Kings. The deal was initially guaranteed for $10.1 million and fully guaranteed overall. Fox earned $4.6 million in his first NBA season. His salary increased gradually each year until the end of the contract, earning $8.1 million in 2020.
In 2021, Fox inked a five-year rookie extension worth $163 million with the Kings. This was the 5th most expensive NBA contract signed in 2021. The deal remains active and is scheduled to expire in 2026.
Fox earned $28.1 million in 2021, $30.4 million in 2022, and $32.6 million in 2023. The $163 million is fully guaranteed, and Fox is set to earn $34.8 million in 2024 and $37.1 million in 2025.
De’Aaron Fox has earned $115.2 million in the NBA thus far.
Endorsements
Before the 2017 NBA Draft, De’Aaron Fox reportedly signed a five-year endorsement deal with Nike worth $2 million/year. When the contract expired in 2022, Fox became the first NBA player to sign under Stephen Curry’s Curry Brand. The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed publicly.
Fox was also an ambassador for the computer gaming brand HyperX early in his career. He often streamed on Twitch, playing NBA 2K and Call of Duty while wearing the headphones. Given that he hasn’t streamed since 2020, it’s likely that the partnership only lasted a couple of years.
SwipaTheFox Controversy
In January 2022, Fox launched his own NFT collection, named SwipaTheFox, which sparked considerable controversy and left many buyers unhappy and out of pocket. After minting 6,005 unique NFT tokens at 0.85 ETH per token, Fox announced just one month later that he was shutting down the project, and made no mention of returning investors’ funds.
At the time, 1 ETH was valued at roughly $3,100, and thus, one token would have cost approximately $2,635. If we multiply this figure by 6005 tokens, the total figure amounts to $1.58 million. At the time of writing, Fox has not suffered any legal backlash from the failed project.
Real Estate
Folsom Home
In May 2019, Fox purchased a 5,103-square-foot, four-bedroom, four-bathroom home in Folsom, California, for $1.59 million. The property included a home theatre, pool, spa, and built-in fire pit. A year later, he sold the home for $1.705 million, the highest-selling listing since 2005.
